Clair Payne

Partner

Clair started her career in law in 1999. Clair has real experience at all levels of a team having initially started her career as a Secretary in the personal injury department of a leading Manchester law firm, before soon moving on to become a conveyancing Paralegal.

My greatest achievement:

Writing over 500 process maps, and developing these processes within case management systems, all across all work types.

Never one to stand still or turn her back on a challenge she ultimately became the Departmental Head of the remortgage department at a large national firm, dealing with over 3,000 transactions per month.

In addition to her ‘day job’ of reporting directly into the partnership, ensuring that her teams were hitting their targets whilst always meeting client expectations, she also process mapped all required alterations to case types, so that IT developers could undertake the software coding.

By the time she and Sarah were hired to build a new department in 2009, Clair was process mapping with fee earners, secretaries and partners, undertaking the coding alterations herself, and building bespoke workflows from scratch.

Clair is now the passion behind building the team of IT developers for The CS Partnership, not an easy feat when she demands the same obsession to detail that she has.

Clair’s ability to be bi-lingual in the language of IT developers and the language of Lawyers is truly unique and having her on your team ensures that your individual requirements are translated into your workflow properly.

Her obsession and the reason she co-founded The CS Partnership is the same as Sarah’s – to help positively change the way that legal services are delivered.
